Representative legacy synchronous motor & pump train2,500 hp low
Normal <75°C Alarm 75–84°C Latched trip ≥85°C
Either channel at 0.20 in/s RMS or higher trips the motor relay and latches its trip target until the input is reduced and RESET RELAY TRIPS is pressed.

Ready. Select LOW or HIGH at the breaker cubicle and press START / CLOSE 52.
Representative training sequence: valve-closed proof permits the start and initiates K45; K45 seals the motor control circuit for up to 45 seconds while the illustrative discharge valve leaves the closed limit; valve position at or above 30% carries the running permissive. The operator position command is adjustable from 30–100%, while NORMAL STOP overrides the positioner and closes the valve to 0% before opening 52. The five bearing RTDs use illustrative 75°C alarm and 85°C latched-trip setpoints. Motor and pump vibration each trip at 0.20 in/s RMS. Protective trips latch in the motor relay; no separate 86 relay is modeled in the trip path. Equipment geometry, identifiers, ratings, relay programming, FAR pickup, breaker type, and timing are illustrative. Training use only—not an approved switching, settings, or as-built document.
